SPACE

Now you’ve identified your needs, let’s look at the practicalities for your space.

  • The time of day you wish to use your garden room may dictate the angle and position.

  • Consider the location and outlook direction for each season and time of day. The early bird may want to consider where the sun rises. The BBQ lover may be more interested in where it peeks. For the ultimate spot to unwind after work with a glass of something chilled, where the sun sets will matter most.

  • South/southwest facing rooms will keep tropical plants going through the winter.

  • The maximum cabin height - 2.5 meters - will cast a shadow over a portion of the garden. Ensure you do not block the sunlight to treasured plants.

  • Consider accessibility and proximity to the property boundaries. Due to the cabin height, planning permission is not needed and there is no restriction on the distance, although we do recommend a 50cm space around the parameter for maintenance
